Eric Tinkler wants another clean-sheet against Etoile du Sahel

The Buccaneers arrived back in South Africa today after beating Egyptian giants Al-Ahly 4-3 in Cairo, with hundreds of fans meeting them at the airport.

Pirates’ success was built on a clean-sheet at home in the first leg, and Tinkler says that will have to happen against against Etoile du Sahel on 20 November.

“The approach will be the same for us,” he said at a press conference at the airport. “We have to look to keeping a clean-sheet and winning at home first and foremost.”

Tinkler says it is important for Pirates to cross the final hurdle and do the country proud.

“We want to leave a legacy of winning this trophy because the club has yet to win it. But we are not getting ahead of ourselves,” he adds.
