Eric Tinkler undecided about last Orlando Pirates CAF spot

The Buccaneers had five spots left before the group stage matches, but have since registered Menzi Masuku, Felipe Ovono, Luvuyo Memela and Gift Motupa.

That final spot was left for new signing Tendai Ndoro, but with Kermit Erasmus, Thamsanqa Gabuza and Lehlohonolo Majoro all scoring goals, Tinkler has now decided leave it open.

“We got one space left to register as we have not used that space for Tendai,” Tinkler says.

“I got six strikers. It’s difficult for me to play all six of them. I have not made the decision whether that space will be used for Tendai or not.

“Truth be told, I think Kermit has done fantastically well, and Majoro I thought had a phenomenal game against CS Sfaxien.

“And Gabuza has come on leaps and bounds; he has been a huge asset. He is such a handful, particularly to the Egyptian and Tunisians. They show a little bit of fear when he plays.

“I have been extremely happy with them. The question I ask myself is do I register Tendai and not utilise him? That does that make any sense. So I have not made up my mind who is going to take that last space.”

Should Edwin Gyimah complete his expected move to Pirates, he is likely to take that last space.
