Gabuza reiterated his worth with a stunning finish in a 1-1 draw with Etoile du Sahel in the first leg of the Final at Orlando Stadium on Saturday.
The KwaZulu-Natal-born forward is joint-top scorer in the event with six goals, along with Etoile's Baghdad Bounedjah.
"Gabuza has been doing well, his confidence is very high at the moment," says Tinkler.
"He has played exceptionally well throughout the CAF Confederation Cup tournament.
"He is playing for the national team now, his confidence is high. He has a lot of belief in himself which I am very happy about because we benefit from that.
"It comes from hard work and us believing in him," Tinkler adds.
Meanwhile, Pirates official Floyd Mbele says the club is yet to finalise when they will fly out for the return leg of the Final in Sousse, Tunisia on Sunday.
