While administrative interference and the controversial signing of Morisson -which has since been cleared by the Tanzanian Football Federation - led to his sudden exit after just one season, Simba has now signalled their intention of a new era.
A newly designed roaring lion has been implemented on their club crest has been launched after their 21st league title as well as the announcement of promising striker Charles Ilamfia arriving from KMC and Kenya defender Joash Onyango.
With the official launch, the club promised two new signings per day going into next week as well as a 'new identity' going towards the new season as they look towards maintaining their growth achieved under Mbatha over the past 12 months.
Morisson featured prominently in the kit launch and looks set to play a starring role alongside captain John Bocco and Rwanda star Meddie Kagere as they look to make inroads in the CAF Champions League and retain their domestic titles.
