Should Kaizer Chiefs play Daniel Akpeyi, Itumeleng Khune or Bruce Bvuma?

Kaizer Chiefs will head into the CAF Champions League final on Saturday evening against Al Ahly faced with a major decision on who should start in goals for this historic match.

Chiefs have Daniel Akpeyi, Itumeleng Khune and Bruce Bvuma to choose from who have all had minutes across the 14 games played on the continent.

Nigerian keeper Akpeyi has played the most games across all competitions with 23 appearances, six of which have in the Champions League.

Khune has also played six on the continent. However, such has been Akpeyi's impressive run on the continent that he is yet to concede.

He kept clean sheets in the four home and away games Angolan clubs Primeiro de Agosto and Petro Luanda, before again closing shop in the home game against Wydad Casablanca before being sent off just before the break.

Akpeyi was again heroic when thrown into the fray for the second leg semi-final against Wydad, locking the door to make sure that Chiefs reached the final.

The Nigerian will feel justified to get the nod based on his numbers.

"I have always looked forward to playing in the Champions League final and winning it," he told the club's media.

Khune will always remain a popular figure amongst the Amakhosi faithful, regardless of his form. From the six games he has played in the competition, the veteran shot-stopper has conceded six and kept four clean sheets.

He was beaten four times against Wydad during the group stage clash in Burkina Faso, and then twice away at Horoya, while his clean sheets were the two preliminary matches against PWD Bamemda, as well as the home tie with Horoya and the 1-0 group stage win at home against the Moroccans after Akpeyi was sent off.

Meanwhile, Bvuma remains another credible option after having impressed in his share of game time. He has three appearances, which included the 4-0 quarterfinal home win against Simba, before conceding three in the away leg.

His best game was when he kept a crucial shutout in the 1-0 semi-final away leg win at Wydad, proving the difference between a victory and either a draw or defeat.

Most important for Chiefs though, is that they have not conceded in 11 of the 14 games they have played in the Champions League thus far.

Have your say! Who should start in goal against Al Ahly tomorrow evening?
