Roger Feutmba back Kaizer Chiefs to overcome PWD Bamenda

Former Cameroon international Roger Feutmba has offered some insight into Kaizer Chiefs' CAF Champions League opponents PWD Bamenda.

Feutmba says despite their frailties, Chiefs are still favourites to come out on top in their preliminary round fixture on Sunday afternoon (16h00).

The Mamelodi Sundowns legend has backed Gavin Hunt's charges to secure a victory on Sunday ahead of the return leg next Friday.

"The little I know about them is that they were champions," Feutmba tells snl24.com/kickoff.

"They used to be a very good team in our days when I was still playing. But as you know the football has went down a little bit that side. But for a team to win a league in a country like Cameroon, I believe that they have quality. I was speaking to a journalist from Cameroon who wanted to know about Kaizer Chiefs too [laughs].

"So yah, I believe they have a team to fight, especially at home. The only thing that is going to disturb them is that the league has not yet started there. The federation is fighting with the league. Like here you have SAFA and PSL. There they are fighting on who should manage the league and all that.

"So yah, I don't believe they are in the right frame of mind. On the other hand Chiefs has just started the league, they are not doing well at the moment. It's going to be a tight game, especially in Cameroon.

"I believe Chiefs can come out with a good win, why not? It depends on how are they going to approach the game. But those teams from Cameroon, they can't match Chiefs, even though Chiefs is not doing well. But it won't be easy because they will fight. They are like Bloemfontein Celtic."
