Kaizer Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter makes admission of sitting in the stands - CAF CL final

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Stuart Baxter has opened up on his debut for Amakhosi after watching his side advance to the final of the CAF Champions League from the stands.

Baxter will take charge of his first game from the bench on Saturday after work-permit issues prevented him from being part of the semi-final against Wydad Atheltic Club.

And ahead of the clash against Al Ahly and Pitso Mosimane, which is arguably the biggest game of the club's history, the Amakhosi boss revealed how it felt to see Arthur Zwane and Dillon Sheppard steer the club to history.

"It was probably one of the most nervous times of my career sitting in the stands watching the team that you're responsible for, playing without you so to speak," he said in the pre-match press conference.

"But the boys did a great job, lifted their spirits, and made a great understanding of the few things that we put down. I'm happy about being back on the bench and looking forward to the game immensely."

The Glamour Boys will be aiming to prevent the Red Devils secure their record-extending tenth Champions League crown when they do battle at the Stade Mohamed v on Saturday evening (21h00).
