The two sides will battle for the CAF Champions League trophy in the final taking place in Morocco's Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca this evening.
According to Mendu, Amakhosi are the underdogs going into this encounter as they have never competed at this level before.
"My prediction is it's gonna be a very exciting game and open game, Chiefs have nothing to lose but everything to win," Mendu tells snl24.com/kickoff.
"Al Ahly on the other hand, they are chasing history [a record tenth Champions League title], that's what they do – they win things.
"Pitso Mosimane is a serial winner, he wants to make history. I will give this to Pitso. Look, it's not going to be one-nil, it's not gonna be two-nil, we are going to see a lot of goals.
"Is Chiefs going to score? Of course, they going to score. It's going to be an open game, it's a final. You don't score one goal and defend.
"Let's not take away the experience of Al Ahly. They are used to playing such finals and such important games, so that's why I'm going to give it to Pitso."
