Middendorp signed a three-year contract with the East African side last week as he bounced back quickly after parting ways with Kaizer Chiefs.
With the clear intention to win the league, Middendorp's first action in the hotseat was to rope in an assistant, with Davids now leaving his role as head coach at GladAfrica Championship side Cape Umoya United.

Cavin Johnson - Head coach at AmaZulu to assistant to Pitso Mosimane at Al Ahly
The 33-year-old, who previously worked with Middendrop during their time at Maritzburg United, finished 11th in the South African first division in his first full season as a head coach.
