Kaizer Chiefs stalwart Bernard Parker is well aware of the responsibility upon their shoulders as they begin their CAF Champions League journey today.
Chiefs kick-off their 2020/21 campaign against Cameroonian champions PWD Bamenda in the preliminary round first leg in Limbe this afternoon (16h00).
Amakhosi return to the continental stage after a four-year absence and are hoping to make history by qualifying to the competition's group stage for the first time in the club's history.
Parker, who has served the Soweto giants since 2012 and hold plenty of experience on the international stage, is confident they can represent not only the club's brand but also South African football in the best possible manner as they look to turn their form around.
"It's a good feeling to be back competing on the continent. We're looking forward to a journey that we've long last had, and exciting times going forward," Parker told Chiefs' media team.
"I think it's important we start our journey strong so that we can build a strong foundation for a confident journey throughout the competition.

"We're well aware that we're representing Kaizer Chiefs as well as the rest of South Africa. The guys are excited, the good thing is that we've got a few internationals that travelled in the last FIFA break, so they've tasted football across the borders.
"So, it's not a new thing and the rest of the squad has also travelled before, competing on the continent. The guys are looking ready.
"We're looking to turn things around and for us as a team right now in the situation that we are, is to get to ourselves back where we need to be in terms of our confidence.
"Our team spirit is good, everyone is jolly, laughing and bubbly already going into Africa, so I think it will be a good one and I'm confident and trust that we will come back from Cameroon with a positive result."
