Motlhalo, together with Banyana teammate Thembi Kgatlana, has signed a one year deal with the Chinese outfit and will join her new club after the Cyprus Cup.
The attacking midfielder parted ways with US side Houston Dash, but another move has been secured for her abroad and she is excited for this next chapter in her career.
“I am very excited about this move, which has been coming for a long time – as early as last year when I was at the Women’s AFCON, but I was focused on the tournament. Eventually it happened and I am over the moon, it’s a new oportunity and my parents are happy about it,” said told the SAFA website.
“Once you are comfortable you won’t grow, you need to get out of your comfort zone to be a better person. But remember the first three months in the USA were not easy, I had to adapt very quickly – and it guess it’s going to be the same thing in China. I have no choice but to adapt and carry on.
“HPC [High Performance Centre] helped me a lot on this score. I was 12 years old when I moved from my home to stay at the HPC, and I would see my parents after about three months or so. And I got used to the fact that I would not be spending that much time with them, so I am good to go wherever as long as I am playing the beautiful game.”
