Banyana are set to face Finland at 11h00 in a battle for ninth and 10th at the Cyprus Women’s Cup.
Matlou made her Banyana debut in 2007 and a year later she was named the African Women’s Player of the Year, becoming the first South African player to win the award. At time she was still playing as a striker, having been converted to central defence in the last few years.
Matlou, who is likely to form part of the squad that will play at FIFA World Cup in France in June, has scored 64 goals for the senior national team.
Matlou is only the second player to reach 150 caps, after captain Janine van Wyk, who is on the bench for today's game.
