Former Bafana Bafana and Kaizer Chiefs star Siyabonga Nomvethe is backing Pule Mmodi to be named in Hugo Broos' final 23-man squad.
Nomvethe believes Mmodi, who produced a Man of the Match performance while scoring two goals for Chiefs in their 3-0 win over AmaZulu over the weekend, has done enough to earn his place in Broos' side to face Namibia and DR Congo in September.

"I think he's done enough because he is not new to this league, he's been doing well at Golden Arrows in previous years," Nomvethe tells KickOff.
"He deserves a chance in the Bafana Bafana team because if you remember very well, last week he was burying his mother.
"That alone can disturb a player, can make him lose focus, especially when it's your parent.
"But he deserves to be in the final 23-man squad, although it depends on the coach.
"What makes him special is his excellent performances on the pitch and his ability to score goals.
"To make the Bafana Bafana team you first need to perform well for your club.
"You should be able to score goals or to make assists.
"I'm happy with all the 36 players that have been selected, it shows there is a competition for places in the national team.
"Nobody should own a place in a national team, there should always be pressure to do well once you've made the team."
Broos will announce his final squad on Wednesday in preparation for the two international friendlies.
