National under-23 coach David Notoane has named his squad to take on Zimbabwe in U-23 AFCON qualifiers

South Africa under-23 coach David Notoane has named a 25-man squad for the final round of the 2019 U-23 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

South Africa will take on neighbours Zimbabwe in the first leg on September 5 at Milpark Stadium, while the second leg will be played three days at the National Sports Stadium in Harare.

Notoane has named a strong squad to take on Zimbabwe, including Orlando Pirates left back Bongani Sam, Kaizer Chiefs' Siyabonga Ngezana and overseas based players Luther Singh, Liam Jordan and former Pirates forward Lyle Foster, who recently made his senior team debut for French Ligue 1 outfit Monaco.

Mamelodi Sundowns attacker Keletso Makgalwa has been included, but is a doubt after picking an injury last night in his side's 1-1 draw with Cape Town City at Lucas Moripe Stadium.

The U-23 AFCON serves as a qualifier for the 2020 Olympics to be played in Tokyo.
