Bafana Bafana coach Molefi Ntseki has named Itumeleng Khune and Thabo Matlaba amongst a 25-man squad for the upcoming 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sao Tome and Principe.
Khune makes a return to the international arena following a 16-month absence, replacing Darren Keet alongside goalkeeper Ronwen Williams and Brandon Petersen.
Bafana will host Sao Tome in their home leg Group C fixture at FNB Stadium on March 27 or 28 before travelling to the island for the return fixture four days later.
Ntseki has confirmed that Kamohelo Mokotjo, Thato Mokeke, Thapelo Morena and Thamisanqa Mkhize have all been ruled out due to an assortment of injuries.
