Dominic Isaacs says the South African Football Association should have done better in terms of preparing for Tuesday's World Cup qualifier against minnows Rwanda.
South Africa were beaten 2-0 by the Rwandans in the Group C encounter that took place on a waterlogged artificial pitch.
"What happened yesterday, I think it's a combination of horses for courses," he tells KickOff.

"Maybe Hugo Broos believes so much in the way that he wants to play, if you accept that the opposition was better than you and they wanted it better than you, then there is no use of crying.
"We still have to go to Zimbabwe and Nigeria, and I hope this was a lesson, that is it.
"When we were readmitted to FIFA, we knew not all our games were going to be played in nice pitches.
"We knew we were going to play in pitches that resembled bushes, so you have to prepare yourself for that.
"Yesterday I was going to be happy with a draw. A point is a bonus on away trips. We must finish teams here at home.
"The players should have adjusted and played ugly and not try to build up from the back.
"I'm telling you now if Gavin Hunt was there, he was going to win. Minimum risks at the back, play at their half as long as possible and that is it."
Isaacs says SAFA should learn from Sundowns when it comes to away games.
"They should have sent out scouts a week before, exactly as Sundowns are doing when they are playing in Africa.
"Send people there to scout the hotels that are closer to the training field and the quickest route to the Stadium.
"Bafana they need to learn from Sundowns, they didn't do their homework. It seems the PSL club is more organised than the federation.
"SAFA should have taken a leaf out of Sundowns's book. Sundowns were not going to travel for three hours to a Stadium, they were going to be prepared for all of that."
