Former South Africa goalkeeper Calvin Marlin has commended Ronwen Williams for the way he has matured in his craft.
The Bafana Bafana captain Williams, has been solid in goals in the past two matches against Tunisia and Namibia and kept two clean sheets.
His good performances in goals have seen Bafana qualify for the last 16 stages of the tournament.

Just like Williams, Marlin also hails from Port Elizabeth and they have both represented Sundowns and Bafana.
"Ja Williams he's matured well, it's very nice for him I'm happy for him that he is getting recognition at the international level as well," Marlin tells KickOff.
"We all remember how we started, so it's very nice that things are looking positive for him. But Morocco, that's going to be a tough one for us. Hopefully, we can bring back the fighting spirit that we had in 1996 and 1997."

Marlin was also impressed with the 0-0 result against Tunisia.
"Well, they got the result they needed, when I looked at the other results of Tunisia I thought, oh it's not like they are scoring a lot of goals. So I mean, at the end of the day they did the job, they got through. It depends how you wanna see it but at the end of the day, they are through.
"And that's the main thing. When you are in a tournament like this sometimes you don't look at how you do it, you just want to get it done. You do it to get through.
"In the Namibia game, they were more offensive because they knew they had to win at all costs. They knew if they didn't get a result they were done, whilst against Tunisia they knew a goal was not enough. So mentally, you are in that mindset that, as long as we not going to lose, we are safe."
