Bafana Bafana will be hoping to reap the benefits of Khuliso Mudau's fine at Mamelodi Sundowns as the AFCON finals draw closer.
Since man marking Wilfred Zaha in the friendly match against Cote d'Ivoire, Mudau has been in superb form for Sundowns with four consecutive polished displays in the African Football League.

'Sailor' – as Mudau is known – has blossomed so much that Sundowns' other option in that position – Thapelo Morena – is now a forgotten man.
The 28-year-old has been one of three players at Sundowns who have played every minute in the AFL with the other two being Ronwen Williams and Abdelmounaim Boutouil.
With his form, it means Mudau has kept his place in the squad for the FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Benin and Rwanda.
Mudau is also in firm contention to be the preferred at the AFCON finals at the start of the New Year with his confidence growing with every match that he plays for Sundowns.
Though Hugo Broos has for long had Nyiko Mobbie as his first choice at right-back, Mudau has now moved to the front of the queue as he seeks to add on to the five caps that he has won so far.
Mudau won his first cap against Guinea in March 2022 before he was red carded in his second during the 5-0 demolition by France.

The Sundowns man then played against Morocco and Botswana before winning his fifth cap with a top-drawer performance against Cote d'Ivoire two weeks ago when 'pocketed' Zaha.
Besides having Mobbie as his regular, Broos has also used Morena and Thabiso Monyane at right-back.
