Head coach Hugo Broos has expressed concern over the quality of a 'very very bad' synthetic pitch where Bafana Bafana will take on Rwanda in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier match.

The 96' Afcon champions have put themselves in pole position after recording a 2-1 victory over Benin on Saturday at Moses Mabhida Stadium and were added another possible advantage when Nigeria and Zimbabwe played to a 1-1 draw on match day two.
However, a concern for the Belgian mentor is the poor condition of the Pitch at Huye Stadium in Rwanda where the clash will take place.
"When I saw the images of the game of Rwanda against Zimbabwe and for the qualifiers for AFCON, I see a very very bad pitch, synthetic pitch,"
"I think it's time that CAF or FIFA put good rules about travelling and also about the stadiums.

"There is nothing wrong with the synthetic grass or pitch. We had one in Liberia, it was new generation synthetic, nobody complained about it, it was good."
"It's very difficult to play good football here, it will be more of fighting football here," added Broos.
"Here is a synthetic pitch that may be 20 or 25 years old, very bad maintenance. It's like you playing on the streets and it's hard. There are many bounces on the ball when you see the games of Rwanda."
The match is scheduled to kick-off at 15:00.
