Broos: 3 things Bafana Bafana need to get right against Benin

Head coach Hugo Broos has highlighted three important factors his Bafana Bafana side need to get right to get their World Cup qualifying campaign off to a perfect start with a win over Benin at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday.

Bafana are set to get their qualifying campaign under way with a Group C opener against Benin while aiming to take advantage of Group C rivals Nigeria dropping points against Lesotho on Thursday.

"It will be important that we start the game with a good mindset. Secondly, that we reach our desired level of performance, and then lastly, that we have the right mentality.

"From the beginning, I know that our opponents also possess an experienced coach who knows how to manage games.

"It's up to us to not allow any tactic to work against us tomorrow, and that we clinch the three points.

"I said also that it's vitally important to get off to a good start in the qualifying campaign.

"If we are fortunate, we can already place the pressure on our opposing teams in our qualifying group with a win tomorrow.

"So, I think this is a big opportunity to do that where we have to grab the chance with both hands and win the game.

"Then it'll be a totally different mindset that we can go to Rwanda if we don't lose points tomorrow.

"So, it's up to us but again, I'm confident in knowing what this team can do, so we have to pull it off tomorrow."
