Hugo Broos has delivered on the promise of AFCON finals qualification but will still be scratching his head about the order of opponents that Bafana Bafana will face at the tournament.
Bafana have long secured their place at the competition to run from January 13 to February 11, 2024, in Ivory Coast.

However, with the last two places being determined on Tuesday night as Cameroon host Burundi in Garoua, this is what will provide a sense of direction about who Bafana will be grouped with at the finals.
At its stands, the seeded teams (according to the latest FIFA rankings) that have qualified are Morocco (14), Senegal (18), Tunisia (31), Algeria (33), Egypt (34), and Nigeria (39).
Pot two has Mali (51), Ivory Coast (52), Burkina Faso (56), Ghana (60), South Africa (63), and Cape Verde (66).
Cameroon (42) will top the second pot once their qualification is confirmed and will be joined by either Namibia (114) or Burundi (140).
For pot three, DR Congo (69), are leading and have Guinea (81), Zambia (84), Equatorial Guinea (91), Mauritania (101), and Guinea-Bissau (112).
The fourth pot will have Angola (116), Mozambique (117), The Gambia, and Tanzania (124).
CAF will use the latest FIFA rankings – to be released on September 21 – to determine the seedings for the AFCON finals draw on October 12.
Those rankings will determine whether Bafana remain in the second pot or drop down to the third.
Teams in each of the four pots cannot meet in the group stages.
