Bafana Bafana have moved up the latest FIFA rankings providing further encouragement for the work that Hugo Broos has been putting in.
The senior national team has now moved up the latest rankings released on Thursday, going up to 64 from 65.

On the continent, Bafana are now in position 12 after dislodging DR Congo.
The latest rankings come after the recent international break during which Bafana drew against Eswatini and then put in a gallant show away against Cote d'Ivoire.
Next up for Broos and his men are FIFA 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Benin (ranked 93) at home and Rwanda (140) away.
Then from January 13 – Bafana will be in Cote d'Ivoire where they will Mali (47), Namibia (114), and Tunisia (32) in the group stages of the AFCON finals at the Stade Amadou Gon Coulibaly in Korhogo.
Bafana will be aiming for their best AFCON finals finish in the last 20 years.
Broos will head to Cote d'Ivoire as the first ever Bafana coach to arrive at the tournament having previously won it.

The plus is that the 71-year-old is also familiar with the West African territory.
With Bafana so far, Broos is without defeat in the last 11 games stretching over a year during which he has faced the top ranked nation on the continent Morocco while also facing better ranked nations in DR Congo and Cote d'Ivoire.
