Pitso Mosimane's Al Ahly side will face a wounded Wydad Casablanca in the Total CAF Champions League semi-finals after their 2019/20 Botola campaign ended in tears on the final day.
Going into the final day, Wydad, Raja Casablanca and RS Berkane all held a chance to win the league title after 90 minutes and it proved to be one of the most dramatic endings to a season in Africa.

The leaders at the summit swayed to an fro throughout until Zouheir El Moutaraji scored an 88th-minute striker that looked set to retain the league crown for Wydad but a 90th-minute winner from Abdelilah Hafidi handed Raja the glory after a 2-1 victory against FAR Rabat.
In the end, the league was decided by one point, with Wydad securing second place, two points ahead of Berkane in third, as the Casablanca giants secured Champions League football for the 2020/21 season.
However, with former Mamelodi Sundowns coach Miguel Gamondi leading the team on an interim basis, the Moroccan giants who let their fierce rivals secure the league for the first time in seven years will be aiming to redeem themselves against Ahly on Saturday.
WAC host the record-eight time African champions in Casablanca for the first-leg at the Stade Mohamed V on Saturday before the return leg in Cairo next Friday for a place in the 6 November final in Rabat.
Despite the disappointment, Moismane feels what transpired on Sunday evening will hold no effect on their upcoming North African derby in Africa's elite club competition.
"Wydad losing the league doesn't mean anything for us. We have a job to do! I congratulate my friend Jamal [Sellami], the Raja head coach, for winning the Botola Pro," Mosimane said.
The Red Devils will train on Monday morning, their last first-team training session before their journey to Morocco to face Wydad.
