The Tokyo Olympics' quarter-final ties have been confirmed, with South Africa being the only African team to be eliminated, while Ivory Coast and Egypt advanced to the next stage.
South Africa crashed out of the tournament after a 3-0 defeat to Mexico, making it three losses in three games for coach David Notoane's side in Japan.

Ivory Coast managed a 1-1 draw with Germany, who exited the competition as a result, in their final group stage match to advance to the next stage along with Group D winners Brazil.
Egypt also progressed to the quarter-finals thanks to a 2-0 victory over Australia in their final Group C game.
