PSL senior manager Lux September has assured Mamelodi Sundowns and Maritzburg United that the actual Telkom Knockout trophy is safe.
One of the two teams will be presented with the silverware on Saturday as the cup tournament comes to a conclusion.

This comes soon after police in Durban recovered a replica of Telkom Knockout trophy plus 49 tickets for the cup final after a Toyota Quantum was stolen at a lodge in KwaZulu-Natal this morning.
The vehicle was recovered at D Section in Lindelani. A case of robbery and theft is currently being investigated at the Berea police station and no arrests have been made so far.

September says the main Telkom Knockout trophy and medals for the final between The Brazilians and the Team of Choice will arrive in Durban tomorrow.
"That one is a replica trophy used for promotions," September tells snl24.com/kickoff.
"The main trophy and medals are still in Johannesburg and will arrive in Durban tomorrow."

Mystery surrounds where the replica trophy was stolen from as the PSL has distanced itself from the incident.
