Sredojevic appeared before the New Brighton Magistrate's Court in last Friday after it was alleged that he sexually assaulted a waiter at the Wolfson Stadium last Monday.
The former Orlando Pirates coach pleaded not guilty and was subsequently granted R10 000 bail and is expected back in court on the 25th February 2021.
"The Football Association of Zambia has been made aware of the serious allegations made against National Team coach Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic in South Africa," read a statement from FAZ.
"Mr Sredojevic is being represented by legal counsel in this matter, where he pleaded not guilty, and we will be making a statement at the appropriate time.
"FAZ is not able to comment at this time, until briefed about the matter by Sredojevic and his legal team."
The FAZ acting General Secretary Joseph Chimpampwe has also vowed to keep the Zambian nation updated about latest developments regarding the matter.
"We will keep the nation updated on the matter without being in contempt of the court process," he added.
Micho has also since publicly denied the allegations, telling BBC Sport Africa: "[These are] total baseless accusations intended to unsettle the Zambia team that has not conceded goal in this tournament [Cosafa Under-20 Cup]. My legal representatives are dealing with this character assassination attempt."
