Motshwari it has been revealed is also now likely to be in contention for Pirates' next trip to KwaZulu-Natal to face Maritzburg United in a DStv Premiership clash.
Pirates - sixth in the league standings - will look to get back to winning ways when they face Ernst Middendorp's Maritzburg side at the Harry Gwala Stadium on 20 October.
"He is working very hard like any other player. I guess he will be available for selection for our next game," the source added.
Orlando Pirates had previously confirmed that it had suspended the 30-year-old on 20 September after being charged by police following a domestic disturbance.
Pirates at the time said that the midfielder would remain suspended indefinitely, pending an investigation.
The case was later dismissed due to a lack of evidence, with Motshwari now confirmed to have resumed training as a part of the Buccaneers squad.
Efforts to get contact Pirates' Floyd Mbele for comment were unsuccessful.
It has been a rocky few weeks for the Buccaneers with off-field issues by its squad members dominating the headlines.
Goodman Mosele was recently admonished by Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos for failing to honour a national team call-up.
While Gabadinho Mhango and Thembinkosi Lorch had caused controversy for off-field incidents previously.
