While his nine goal contributions (six goals and three assists) in 14 league games wasn't enough to be called up to the latest Pharaohs squad - he revealed Mosimane offered him hope of a return to the Red Devils next season.
"My loan to El-Gaish is supposed to end, then I'll return to Al Ahly at the end of the season. My goal is to play for Al Ahly for five or six years and write history with the club," told OnTime Sports TV 2, as per KingFut.
"When I met Mosimane during the cup and league matches, he told me that he was following me and wanted me to keep doing what I've been doing."
The former Bidvest Wits striker who has amassed 19 caps for the senior national team with three goals to his name also opened up on his snub from coach Hossam El Badry's 29-man squad.
"Of course I was hoping to join, especially after I reached the Egypt Cup final with my team and achieved great numbers in the league," he explained.
"But I understand the choices of the coaching staff and accept the decision, and I wish them success. I support the players who were called up, all of them are big players.
"It's not the end of the world, I'll be ready at the earliest opportunity, I'm ready to join at any time."
