Al Ahly star Hussein El Shahat praises Pitso Mosimane for improved form

Mosimane has earned widespread plaudits for his attractive brand of football that's become increasingly evident at Al Ahly on a game by game basis, which El Shahat previously acknowledged was down to his relentless work ethic.

And in the semi-final victory over Wydad Casablanca, the Egypt international missed a one on one opportunity in the opening 2-0 win in Casablanca.

The Red Devils most expensive signing in their history received backlash for the miss but after netting one of the goals of the tournament with an individual effort in the second leg, he explained Mosimane's influence.

"After returning from injury and the feeling pressured me to score, but I managed to regain confidence during the return match.

"The coach, Pitso Mosimane, spoke to me and gave me more confidence and told me that I gave everything I had in the match."

The 29-year-old was subject to an audacious R50-million bid from Mamelodi Sundowns last week which he admitted he was not informed about.
