Zungu reveals AmaZulu contract details of Niger striker

AmaZulu FC president, Sandile Zungu, has revealed the latest information regarding his pre-season signing, Victorien Adebayor, from Niger.

The forward initially signed with Usuthu at the beginning of the season but faced difficulties boarding a flight to South Africa, citing political unrest in his country at that time.

According to rumors, the truth is that AmaZulu sent Adebayor some money to facilitate his travel to South Africa. However, the player allegedly decided to scam the club and used the funds for his personal needs.

Speaking to KickOff, Zungu stated that they would be escalating the matter to FIFA, emphasising their belief that the player should honor the three-year contract he has signed.

The KwaZulu-Natal club currently boasts forwards such as Lindani Shange, Msindisi Ndlovu, Junior Dion, Augustine Chidi Kwem, and Victor Letsoalo.

"Adebayor has not yet arrived, and we will report his case to FIFA," Zungu tells KickOff.

"He has signed with us and has a three-year contract with us. I don't know what FIFA will do, but we will just report the matter to FIFA, that's all."

AmaZulu are currently in 8th position on the league table, having accumulated 15 points from 11 matches played this season.
