In this edition of Supporters Forum, KickOff speaks to AmaZulu FC's prominent supporter "Usuthu Queen" about her long-standing affair with the KwaZulu Natal club.
Name of Supporter?
"My real name is Luyanda Mbuyazi, I'm originally from Ulundi but currently based in Melmoth.
"I'm popularly known as Usuthu Queen. I work for the municipality and also own an event company."
Club supported?
"I've never supported any other club besides AmaZulu. I'm following my father's legacy, growing up he used to take me to Stadiums to watch Usuthu play."
How long supported?
"My blood is green. I've been supporting AmaZulu for 43 years now."
Are you happy with the bosses?
"I'm very happy, even though the previous owners did notice me, but nothing happened.
"But since Sandile Zungu took over he is recognising me. He is always there for the club supporters; he even attends their funerals."
Are you happy with the coach?
"I'm happy with him but at the same time, I'm nervous. The way this coach is a coward he can't even attack, he always plays defensive football. I still love him though."
Are you happy with the players?
"I'm happy with the players but my problem is one, their lack of discipline.
"The way they collect bookings does not sit well with me. I wish the club could introduce some punishment for all those players who are getting red cards. They are costing us."
Who do you want them to sign?
"I don't think they should be adding anyone. I'm happy with the current squad unless the management thinks we are lacking somewhere."
Your message to the team?
"I don't think our players understand how fans feel after a loss. They must put themselves into our shoes."
