Pablo Franco Martin's appointment as the new head coach at AmaZulu makes him the second Spaniard coaching in the DStv Premiership, but questions marks will remain hanging about if he has the impetus to sort out the mess at Usuthu.
The truth about the situation at AmaZulu is that this is a club with a concoction of issues that will need not only a new broom but the intelligence to suck out all the rot from the system.

Sandile Zungu, the Usuthu boss has made the decision to go with Martin based on that he is new in the league, fresh and young, and could be what Jose Riveiro has been at Orlando Pirates.
Martin only 43 but has already a coaching career stretching 15 years having started out as an assistant in the lower divisions back home in Spain before calling the shots at Getafe in Lal Liga through a stint as an assistant at Real Madrid after which he went to Kuwait before landing at Simba SC.
In Tanzania, Martin spent just under a year.

"The most important part about Pablo is that he is one good coach. Take note of that," says Simba goalkeeper Beno David Kakolanya.
Kakolanya worked with Martin through his time at Simba and has first-hand experience of what the Spaniard is all about.
"All the players here at Simba believed in him based on the work that he did with us tactically and mentally.
"The players at his new club will enjoy working with him just like we did.
"The first thing that he told us when he got here was that he is here to help us just like we should also help him meaning we are one family.
"Pablo told us that he wants to work together so that we win games and get money for our families.

"Pablo is a coach who never wants to lose a game and you will know about that when he starts his job there.
"All his training sessions are always game oriented because he always does extensive research on the opponent.
"Pablo will surprise you about what he already knows about opponents because he knows their formations and the players they use.
"Right now, he already knows about all the teams in South Africa because I think he has also done work as an analyst before because I remember in one of our sessions, he took over the analysis.

"With every game that he plays he always has a detailed and specific plan.
"The plus is that he respects every player in the squad regular or not.
"Then with his playing style when his team has the ball, he doesn't want you to be always playing back passes to the goalkeeper.
"His mentality is always on hurting the opponent by playing the ball forward.
"His team must attack with speed to be able to penetrate the opposition which means high-intensity training sessions in preparation for that.
"Pablo's fitness drills always involve the ball and intensity in small spaces.
"You will never be just running all day with Pablo like how other coaches do it.

"Pablo loves his team to play the ball and move it around with speed so that you penetrate the opposition before they reorganise.
"He might be Spanish but don't worry about English because he speaks good English and had the benefit of a local assistant Selemani Matola (former SuperSport United midfielder).
"Being a young coach that he is you will feel his energy because he has a good vibe about him that players can relate to.
"He can even make sacrifices for the benefit of the team and always stands with the players who he knows are the ones who delivers the results for him.
"It was unfortunate that we lost to Orlando Pirates in the quarter-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup and couldn't meet his target of reaching the semi-finals," says Kakolanya.
