Family confirm Ntuli burial proceedings

The late South African soccer player Bonginkosi Ntuli will be laid to rest at his parental home in Cato Ridge, Pietermaritzburg on Thursday.

Ntuli passed on Sunday on what was described by his club AmaZulu as an aggressive form of cancer.

The 32-year-old striker's memorial service is set to take place tomorrow at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban starting at 15:00.

According to Ntuli's father, Thulani, the church service for his son's burial on Thursday will start at 10:00.

"My son will be laid to rest on Thursday. The service will start at 10h00 at home before proceeding to the cemetery at noon.

"As a family, we appreciate all the messages we receive from people and comforting us at this difficult period following the passing away of my son," Ntuli said.

AmaZulu also confirmed a public memorial service will be held at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Wednesday.

"The memorial service for our beloved Bonginkosi Ntuli will take place tomorrow, the 8th of November at Moses Mabhida Stadium from 15:00," the club said.
