Siyabonga Ngezana’s FCSB claimed a solid victory over FC Utrecht, who will next face Kaizer Chiefs during their pre-season tour of the Netherlands.
Chiefs are expected to arrive in the Netherlands on 4 July for their pre-season campaign, the club confirmed via their website in late June.
The Soweto giants will be based in Apeldoorn, approximately 80 kilometres from the capital, Amsterdam.

They are scheduled to play five friendly matches—against Vitesse, Utrecht, NEC Nijmegen, PEC Zwolle, and FC Twente—before returning to South Africa on 19 July.
Amakhosi’s second pre-season fixture will be against Dutch top-flight side FC Utrecht, who recently kicked off their preparations with a friendly against Romanian champions FCSB.
FCSB secured a 3–1 victory, with Ngezana starting the match before being substituted at half-time.
Utrecht’s next match is against Chiefs on Friday, 11 July.
Following the defeat to FCSB, Utrecht manager Ron Jans suggested his side will focus on the positives ahead of their next outing.
Jans told Algemeen Dagblad: “We created a lot of chances. But the final pass and finishing must be better.
“We had many more chances than them. Yet we lose 1–3, something's not right. But we look past that in a first friendly. I'm very positive despite the defeat.”
