With the group draw for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers being completed on Tuesday, here are 10 nations that have never made it to the tournament.
A number of countries will be feeling optimistic about their chances of qualifying for next year's Afcon, which is set to be held in the Ivory Coast.

The draw was concluded in Johannesburg on Tuesday night, with 12 groups of four being decided ahead of matchday one and two, which are set to take place between 30 May and 14 June.
The hosts of the competition, Ivory Coast, were drawn in Group H, but because they qualify automatically for the showpiece, only one other team can qualify from their stream, with Lesotho, Comoros, and Zambia all set to battle for that second spot.
It will certainly be daunting task for South Africa's neighbours Lesotho as they are among 10 countries who have never participated at the continental event.
The Crocodiles are currently the 145th-ranked side in the world, according to FIFA, and are two spots below Eswatini, who have also never secured Afcon qualification.
Eswatini seemingly have a better chance of qualifying this time around, though, given that two teams can progress from their classification and they have been drawn in Group B alongside Burkina Faso, Togo, and Cape Verde.

Sao Tome and Principe, who lined up alongside Bafana Bafana in the 2021 Afcon qualifiers, are also yet to realise their dream of playing at the showpiece, and the same can be said of their neighbours Central African Republic.
Minnows Eritrea, Seychelles, and Djibouti are also among those who have never competed on CAF's biggest stage – check the gallery up top to see them all.
