Ketjijere still has two years remaining on his contract with the Pretoria-based side and was in inspirational form as he helped the Brave Warriors to the COSAFA Castle Cup Plate trophy on home soil.
He did not rule out dropping down a division with Shaun Bartlett’s side, but says he must first discuss his future with the team.
“My contract runs for two more years. I’m still an AmaTuks player and we will have to see what the future holds,” Ketjijere told snl24.com/kickoff. “Now we are relegated the club will definitely sit down with us and plot the way forward.”
Ketjijere also hit out at the tactics of his side during the PSL Promotion/Relegation Playoffs in which they managed just a single point from four matches against NFD sides Highlands Park and Mbombela United, scoring just one goal in the process.
“We knew the type of football played by the National First Division teams, but we went there trying to play our own brand, knocking the ball about. It didn’t work out for us,” he said.
“I think the PSL teams should just go in [to the Play-offs] willing to play ugly and fight for everything, and see if the NFD teams can handle it.
“We were a typical PSL team, trying to play from the back and sometimes that doesn’t work.”
The 28-year-old Ketjijere started 25 games for AmaTuks this past season.
