FC AK’s manager Gene Petersen says the last time that Hartley was at training with the club was during last season when the club was experiencing financial troubles and players’ revolt.
“All I know is that Junaid has won his case against an Asian club and is now a free agent. But he is not training with us and I haven’t spoken to him for a while. The coach has also not indicated that he has an interest in Hartley,” says Petersen.
Despite showing early promise Hartley’s career has ground to a halt. He has spent the past 12 month’s club hunting while awaiting the outcome of his case against Malaysian club, Sarawak.
