How Chiefs landed Tashreeq Morris

Kaizer Chiefs have landed their first major signing in SuperSport United's forward Tashreeq Morris as the Soweto giants try to solve their troubles up front.

Morris joins Chiefs as a free agent following the expiry of short-term deal with SuperSport United.

The former South Africa international joined SuperSport in October 2024.

In his 10 appearances in all competitions, he has scored twice thus far this season.

"Tashreeq was at SuperSport on a short-term deal," a source tells KickOff.com.

According to an insider, the Tshwane club is working hard behind the scenes to get Christian Saile on a loan deal.

The Congolese attacker is a wanted man in the local league with the likes of Chippa United and AmaZulu FC also reported to be interested in his services.

He has failed to stamp his authority in the Amakhosi starting line-up and has often received criticism for his error-laden displays.

"SuperSport are hoping to get Christian Saile until the end of the season.

"Morris will go permanent. Saile will be loan, I think," revealed a source.
