Orlando Pirates have confirmed what could be their biggest signing of this transfer window following difficult negotiations.
KickOff reported on Wednesday that Angolan side Petro de Luanda had slapped a price tag of R10 million on the head of Gilberto Miguel Vieira, and now the Soweto giants have pulled out all the stops to ensure the highly-rated midfielder joins their roster.

"The 23-year-old joins the Club on a three-year deal after passing a medical and finalising personal terms. Delvi, who is better known as Gilberto, joins the Buccaneers after two seasons with Angolan Girabola champions Petro du Luanda.
"The enterprising forward comes off an impressive season where he starred at the African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast earlier in the year, helping guide Angola to the quarterfinals of the competition.
"Gilberto is due to fly back to Angola today to finalise the necessary paperwork so that he can join the squad for its outbound Preseason Tour to Spain from July 8", reads a statement from the club.

Only 23, big things are expected of Gilberto now that he has touched down in the land of milk and honey, the DStv Premiership.
