Pirates star can't help but succeed!

After being confirmed as the winner of the PSL Golden Boot, Tshegofatso Mabasa does not seem to miss whether he's on the pitch or off it.

The striker netted 16 goals in 26 appearances over the course of the league campaign and his efforts have certainly not gone unnoticed as he was rewarded, just edging Iqraam Rayners to bag the award.

What has also not gone unnoticed is the forward's ability to clean up when he's not in football gear, so much so that he manages to change it up at will.

Whether he's dressing for a social outing or throwing something together for the day, you will most likely never catch him lacking to impress.

And fortunately for the attacker, some believe that dressing good leads to feeling good. It is also widely claimed that a player who is in a good mental state will produce better performances.

Judging by his golden boot award, this seems to be the case for Mabasa.

Mabasa was not the only Pirates player to have walked away with an accolade in recognition of his achievements during the 2023/24 campaign.

Midfielder Tito Maswanganyi claimed the DStv Premiership Player's Player of the Season award as well as the DStv Midfielder of the Season and the Nedbank Cup Player of the Tournament awards.

Relebohile Mofokeng, meanwhile, was awarded the Nedbank Cup Most Promising Player of the Season and the DStv Premiership Young Player of the Season.

Thabiso Lebitso won the Goal of the Season award for his thunderbolt of a strike in the Soweto Derby.
