The central midfielder's vacation comes after a long season in which he and the rest of his Sundowns peers toiled through a stacked fixture schedule.

Through their hard work, they were able to win the DStv Premiership title in a comprehensive manner, losing just one of their 30 encounters. The side also emerged triumphant in the inaugural African Football League tournament.

Mokoena himself made 37 appearances across all competitions, contributing with five goals and three assists.

According to former PSL star Marawaan Bantam who spoke to KickOff, the Downs star should be competing in Europe instead of just going there on holiday.

"I like everything about Mokoena. That man should be playing in Europe. He's got everything that a midfielder needs," Bantam said.

"He's got vision, he's strong, he packs a powerful shot. He must go overseas. His level of football is way too high for our league."
