Ambitious DStv Premiership outfit Cape Town City could swoop in on highly-rated Angolan midfielder Carlinhos to bolster their squad for next season.
City have been aggressive in the transfer market during the past few weeks after being reported to have signed Fortune Makaringe and Haashim Domingo from Orlando Pirates and Raja Club Athletic respectively.

This is in addition to having already secured the signature of Sibusiso Ziba, a midfielder from JDR Stars, in preparation for next season.
According to sources close to the club, the Citizens have already made an official offer to Carlinhos in a bid to bring him to South Africa next season.
"Cape Town City is keen to sign the boy from Angola. The negotiations are now at an advanced stage.
The player could sign on the dotted line with Cape Town City at any time from now," said a source.
The 29-year-old Carlinhos is currently on the books of Petro de Luanda in the Angolan Premier League, who have a former City player on their roster, in goalkeeper Hugo Marques.
The Mother City-based outfit have have already announced the departure of Jo Paciencia, Relebogile Mokhuoane, Bongani Mpandle, Khanya Leshabela and Thabiso Kutumela.
Club chairman John Comitis has confirmed to KickOff that striker Khanyisa Mayo will be staying with the side next season.

City finished this past season in fifth place on the log to book a place in the MTN8 for 2024/25, but their recent transfer activity speaks of a club determined to do even better next term.
