Billiat's fortunes finally turn?

The fortunes of Khama Billiat could be set to finally turn for the better as Yadah FC collected their first win of the season after five matches without a victory.

Yadah went to Saturday's match against TelOne stuck at the bottom of the Castle Lager Premier League and as the only team in the division without a single victory to show for their efforts.

Although Billiat himself did not make the matchday squad due to an injury, goals from Prosper Kafilapaniila, Marlon Mushonga and Blessed Ndereki were enough to see the Miracle Boys earn a much-needed three points away from home in a thrilling 3-2 victory.

The win will ease pressure on a side that had likely started to question their own ambitions and sees the Miracle Boys climb up to 16th on the log.

Meanwhile, Billiat will be aiming to regain match fitness as he nurses a shin injury sustained last week, which is expected to keep him out of action for around two weeks.

The former Kaizer Chiefs man has not had a good time since his big-money move to Yadah ahead of the new season. His side had suffered three defeats from five outings, including an embarrassing 3-1 hammering from Bulawayo Chiefs at the start of April.

The talismanic kingpin is expected to be ready Yadah's home clash against Chicken Inn, on Saturday, 27 April.

Before then though, his teammates will host Chegutu Pirates on Saturday 20 Aprile and travel to take on Ngezi away on Wednesday, 24 April.
