Retired Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns striker Katlego Mashego has revealed a surprise revelation about his relationship with Kaizer Chiefs.
Amakhosi supporters will not have many fond memories of 'Mahoota' as the striker tormented the Chiefs nearly every time he went toe-to-toe with the Glamour Boys.

Mashego scored a brace for Pirates in the Soweto Derby when Pirates defeated Chiefs 2-1 in 2009.
Mashego also sent Chiefs crashing out of the MTN8 semi-final in 2010, scoring the crucial winner as Pirates won the second leg 1-0 and securing a spot in the final with a 2-1 aggregate over their rivals.
Speaking on Marawa Sports Worldwide, Mashego revealed that he had actually grown up as a Chiefs supporter.
"I grew up supporting Chiefs by the way," Mashego said.

"My dad was a staunch Chiefs supporter and he took me to FNB once or twice when I was young and I used to watch Chiefs games all the time on a Sunday night with my dad.
"Well, they are telling me now apparently I used to cry when Chiefs lost and whatnot, and obviously, I grew up and I wanted to play football and play for Kaizer Chiefs.
"I don't think they liked me. I don't think they wanted me.
"I've never been on trial and I've never had contact with any of the Chiefs guys (management).
