Kaizer Chiefs coach Cavin Johnson has provided an update on the recovery of Amakhosi striker Ashley Du Preez who has been out of action since the start of October.
Du Preez last featured for Chiefs in a 1-0 defeat to Cape Town City in October. Chiefs have not fared poorly without their speedy attacker, winning three of the five matches played.

However, the 26-year-old remains one of Amakhosi's most lethal attackers, having already contributed five goals and two assists in eleven matches since the start of the season.
Much to the excitement of the Amakhosi faithful, Du Preez travelled to Polokwane with the team for Saturday's 1-0 win over Polokwane City, although he was not part of the matchday squad.
Speaking at the post-match press conference, Johnson said he was 'praying' to have Du Preez back before the end of the calendar year.
"I pray guys, I pray that we see him [on the field] before the end of the year," Johnson said.
"He is almost there, that I know. You must have seen him with us, it was to do his social responsibilities for the team. It's not that we brought him with us because he is ready.
"He is about two weeks off."

In Du Preez' absence, Mmodi has climbed to the top of the team's scorers list in the league with four league goals to his name while midfielder Edson Castillo remains the team's top scorer across all competitions with five goals.
Chiefs will aim to have Du Preez back when they face Sekhukhune United on 30 December at New Peter Mokaba Stadium, but before then, Amakhosi host Richards Bay at FNB Stadium on Sunday, 23 December.
