eZenkosi finished in second position in the ABC Motsepe league in the Gauteng region last season.
'Mjomane' is now ready to fight promotion back to PSL after receiving financial backing from the Jobe Foundation.
"The league is good. There are a lot of good players (in the ABC Motsepe league)," Sono said.
"I believe with the kind of team we assembled this season and the support we get from Jobe Foundation, I think we stand a good chance of fighting for promotion.
"We stand a very good chance.
"Last season was our first year we went there in the jungle, and we didn't know the passages of going in and out, ziyabuya lapha (it's tough there).
"We ended up in second position with Pele Pele, which I thought was good, especially in our first year.
"I think need to move away from the position and go to the first position.
"I think us capable of doing it, we are very capable, this time because of the experience now and what to expect from the league."
Jomo Cosmos signed a lucrative two-year deal with the Jobe Foundation to develop football in the Duduza area and surrounding areas in Johannesburg.
