For Tau, the two goals were a second consecutive brace in as many matches, having struck twice for the Red Devils in a 4-0 win against El Masry last month.
The 29-year-old will be aiming to improve on his contribution of 10 goals and seven assists last season, having missed out on large portions of the campaign due to injury.
Tau is understood to have withdrew from the latest Bafana squad for upcoming friendlies against Eswatini and Ivory Coast.
