African giants Simba SC openly handed out a stack of cash out on the field to reward their team for their CAF Champions League victory over Vipers on Tuesday.
The Tanzanian powerhouses secured a 1-0 victory Ugandan outfit Vipers thanks to a solitary goal by Clatous Chama in added time of the first half.

Simba's double over their opponents in Group C took their points tally to six, keeping their hopes of qualifying for the quarter-finals alive as they sit second in the standing, two points ahead of third-placed Horoya with two more games to go.
Raja Casablanca have already advanced to the quarters with the 12 points they have claimed, so Simba have their fate in their own hands, with at least four points in their remaining fixtures certain to secure them qualification for the next round.
As such, Simba's owners were very pleased with their recent performance and decided to incentivise the team with a stack of cash said to be worth 5 million Tanzanian shillings (about R40 000) right after the final whistle of the match at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium this week.

Simba will next face Horoya on 18 March, with both teams needing a win to have a realistic chance of making it to the last eight. A victory for the former will stretch the gap to five points, and would thus earn them a spot in the next round before their last group match against Raja on 31 March.
Simba have never won the CAF CL, with their highest finish being a runners-up medal in 1972.
