Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Rulani Mokwena has revealed the secret behind his side's incredible winning streak since his appointment as head coach of the Brazilians.
Following shock 3-0 loss to Orlando Pirates in the semi-final of the MTN8, Sundowns went on a rampage that saw the Brazilians score 15 goals without conceding in just four matches, including a 4-0 demolition of Pirates in the final of the Carling Black Label Cup.
Mokwena, who was announced a sole head coach shortly after the MTN8 defeat, revealed his tactics to ensure his side's incredible run of form.
"I had a conversation with the team's leadership namely Andile Jali, Mosa Lebusa, Themba Zwane and Denis Onyango to reassure them that it's still business as usual," Mokwena told the Mamelodi Sundowns Magazine.
"My biggest plea to them was that we have to revive the team to its former glory. We must go back to being a team that plays with energy, aggression and the mad-dog mentality of not giving up.

In additional to analysis of video footage and having one-on-ones with the players after, Mokwena also attribute the shit up in form to as well collaboration from the team's technical team as well as the rest of the squad.
"Additionally, I need to give also give credit to the coaches," added Mokwena.
"At that point, the boys needed calmness, clarity, and good leadership, which both coach Manqoba and coach Steve were exceptional in providing for the team.
"I am also grateful that we have an honest group of players. We are privileged to have players who maintain professionalism and portray an unwavering commitment to the team."
Having already been knocked out of the MTN8, Sundowns will know look to retain the Nedbank Cup and DStv Premiership titles.
The Brazilians are also looking to make a big push for the CAF Champions League title, a trophy that's eluded them since they last held it in 2016 under Pitso Mosimane.
Mokwena's chargers will return to competitive action with a clash against Orlando Pirates 31 December.
