Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp pleased with form of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane after Porto drubbing

After taking a 2-0 lead into the break in their last-16 UEFA Champions League tie at the Estádio Do Dragão thanks to goals from Salah and Mane, the Reds ran riot in the second-half with the latter completing his hattrick.

And Klopp reserved special praise for the Senegal international who's often been left in the shadows of Salah's scintillating form since his arrival from AS Roma in the off-season.

The Egypt international reached the 30-goal mark for the season with his first-half strike.

"Tonight he [Mane] showed again what a fantastic player he is. He was always important, he was always fantastic for us, even in his not-that-good moments," Klopp said after the game, as quoted via Sky Sports.

"We spoke about Mo in the last few weeks, completely deserved, but obviously Sadio had his comeback tonight, very good, and Roberto [Firmino] was there again after outstanding work rate again. Congratulations but hopefully he [Salah] will not stop."

Firmino, Salah and Mane have now scored a total of 63 goals across all competitions for the Premier League outfit.
